We
are proud to announce that with the help of parents in our
community who enrolled and shopped, we were able to raise
$7,350 for the Manhasset SCA. This money will be put toward
programs such as Enrichment, Educational Grants and Student
Assistance for the children of Manhasset. We appreciate your
generosity and thank you for your participation.
The 2008 SCA Fair has a NEW Look! - Spring is
just around the corner and plans for this year’s SCA Fair are well under way. We
are excited about continuing many of the traditions of the past, and also
thrilled to unveil new attractions including our new SCA Fair Logo. This new
logo will appear on the upcoming mailings you will receive for advance tickets,
sponsorship opportunities, journal pages and more! A special thanks to Linda
Haase Kane who volunteered her time, talent and creative abilities to make this
happen.

Help Wanted: The Community Education Committee (CEC)
is looking for new members. The goal of CEC is to educate
all members of the community regarding issues pertinent to
the educational mission of the school district and to
facilitate the creation of a true partnership of all groups
in the wider community. To this end, CEC members are
involved with welcoming new parents to the school district,
voter registration efforts, arranging speakers to meet with
community organizations, and other outreach efforts. If you
are interested in joining this important committee, please
contact
Margaret Minichini.
